West End Landmark Gets A Facelift…

This large retail and office building in the heart of the west end was subject to a programme of works comprising the repair and redecoration of the external elevations and roof areas. A phased scaffold was erected to the building in its entirety, which was required to maintain full and clear access to the retail units in the ground floor of the building and reduce as far as possible disruption to the general public using the pavement below.

Extensive repairs and refurbishment were carried out to the existing asphalt, slate and lead roof. The roof was also comprehensively cleaned alongside all of the facades, which were subject to a specialist stone cleaning system. Expert and high quality stone repairs were painstakingly undertaken to the listed Portland Stone facades and the decorative wrought iron features were restored and redecorated.
